I was hired for this project by a residential real estate developer.  The charge was to create a new house on the footprint of an existing foundation…to create a marketable modern two-story house where there was once a bland post-war single-story house.

This was a particularly fun jigsaw puzzle.  Usually the constraints on developing plans are not quite so specifically constrained by very specific geometry.  We were able to get their entire program into a compact envelope and create an interesting contemporary architectural ensemble.
